I can tell you that I took them down after reading the news of the acquisition of DeviantArt by Wix. Apparently they bought dA for 36M $, you don't do that without an agenda to make more.

In the interest of protecting my friends who have been depicted and also copyright, I have made the photographs unavailable. Maybe this is temporary, who knows, but some of you are likely to remember other copyright scandals in art sharing-sites. Until I know more about the changes and their m.o. I will not upload anything here. Wix makes a large part of its revenue from tracking user data over parallell platforms, an idea I thoroughly dislike, even if it seems to become increasingly ubiquitous - that does however not mean that we have to take it.

If anyone of you out there should be particularly "verklempt" over some photo being taken down, then send me a message and I might send you a copy.

I guess we'll see what happens with dA..

Now I'm officially worried. Though why anyone would want to mess with my meager writing, I have no idea. But they're still vastly important to me.

Blergh. This is why I loathe social media. I hate using it. I used to stick to just forums when I was younger, and have slowly started to do that again. Deviantart seemed fine too until now. But at least nothing major has happened yet, from the looks of things.

And the problem, of course, is that social media is still necessary for things like marketing. I wish there were a better solution ._.
